What is the population of Istanbul 2024

The current population of Istanbul has been announced. According to the latest population figures announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the population of Istanbul was 15 million 655 thousand 924 people.

TÜİK’s most current population figures were announced at the beginning of 2024 and cover the results of 2023. These population figures do not include those who migrated from the earthquake zone, those who came illegally from foreign countries, and those who enter and exit Istanbul on a daily basis for business or visit purposes.
